The hotel San Gabriele nestling within medieval walls (of the 16th century) can be found on a historical North-South-Route of the Alps. It is a place steeped in history and really impressive – viewing it you get the feeling of recognising hints and shadows of times long-forgotten.

The name of the hotel is derived from an old myth. Legend has it that cavalry charged against the manor in 1510 but after Archangel Gabriel having appeared and appealed to them they refrained from attacking.

The San Gabriele successfully combines historic structure and contemporary architectural elements. The soothing colour scheme does not just convey the feeling of homely cosiness but it definitely contributes to the extraordinary sense of well being and feeling of security which can hardly be expected behind such a monastic and austere facade.

Underneath the monumental vaults of this exceptional building the restaurant 'Il Convento' and its open fireplace create an amazing and outstanding atmosphere. Here our guests can expect cultivated international cuisine, its emphasis, however, lying on the Mediterranean way of cooking. Moreover, the adjoining, really impressing wine cellar with its own well is available to our guests at any time. On request we organise medieval dinners for small groups. We also provide a conference room with rustic character which offers an inspiring atmosphere for your successful meetings.

San Gabriele features 38 individually designed rooms, partially appointed with for-poster bed, waterbed and/or Jacuzzi, kitchenette or tiled stove.

A lot of rooms have cross vaults – one even has an adjoining roof-deck. Although the furnishing is adjusted to the medieval manor our guests do not have to abstain from modern amenities such as TV, phone, mini bar, safe, hairdryer and make-up mirror. Every single room is characterised by its individuality.
